Goa Electricity Department Vacancy Details

Goa Electricity Department Eligibility

Junior Engineer :

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University/ Institution.
• Knowledge of Konkani / Marathi.

Station Operator :

• S.S.C.E. or equivalent qualification with I.T.I. Certificate in the trade of Electrician. And
• National Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade of Electrician awarded by an appropriate authority under NCVT. OR
• 3 years’ experience in the electrical field.
• Knowledge of computer.
• Knowledge of Konkani / Marathi.

Lower Division Clerk :

• Possessing Higher Secondary School Certificate OR AICTE Approved Diploma.
• Knowledge of Computer applications / operations with typing speed of 30 words per minute in English.
• Knowledge of Konkani / Marathi.

Lineman Wireman :

• A certificate in Electrician trade issued by an appropriate authority under NCVT.
• 2 years’ experience in electrical field. OR
• National Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade of Electrician awarded by an appropriate authority under NCVT.
• Knowledge of Konkani / Marathi.

Meter Reader :

• Secondary School Certificate Examination OR equivalent.
• I.T.I Certificate in the trade of Electrician or Electronic from a recognised Institution.
• Diploma in Computer from a recognized Institution.
• Knowledge of Konkani / Marathi.

Goa Electricity Department Selection Process

• The candidate will have to undergo Skill / Aptitude / written test (examination), as applicable.
• Skill / Aptitude wherever necessary may be considered for screening eligible candidates to be called for written examination and only qualified candidates shall be called for written examination.
• For category of Lineman/ Wireman only for candidates who pass pole climbing test held by this Department will be qualified for written examination.
• The total marks of written examination shall be 100 and duration of examination shall be decided as per nature of examination i.e. subjective or objective or combination of both.

Junior Engineer Electrical :

• Subject I – Electrical Engineering (Objective) – 80 marks
• Subject II – Communication skills and Current affairs (Objective) – 20 marks

Station Operator :

• Basic Electrical Knowledge – 80 marks.
• General Knowledge, reasoning ability, quantitative aptitude, communication skills and current affairs – 20 marks.

Lower Division Clerk :

• English, Computer and Mathematics – 80 marks
• General Knowledge, reasoning ability, quantitative aptitude, communication skills and current affairs – 20 marks.

Lineman Wireman :

• Subject I – Basic Electrical Knowledge – 80 marks
• Subject II – Communication skills and Current affairs – 20 marks

Meter Reader :

• Subject I – Basic Electrical Knowledge and Basic Electronics Knowledge – 80 marks
