NPCIL Recruitment 2022 Qualification

Scientific Assistant/C – (Safety Supervisor):

  • Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. (Minimum 50% marks in Diploma in Engineering/B.Sc.) and
  • One-year Diploma/Certificate in Industrial Safety and
  • Candidate should have 4 years of relevant experience after obtaining requisite qualification.

Scientific Assistant/B – Diploma:

  • Diploma with not less than 60% marks in Civil Engineering. (The Diploma in Engineering should be of three years’ duration after SSC / HSC.) OR
  • Two years Diploma through lateral entry to 2nd year after HSC approved by AICTE with not less than 60% marks in Civil Engineering.
  • Should have had English as one of the subjects either at SSC or HSC level examination.

Stipendiary Trainees / Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) (Category-I) – Diploma:

  • Diploma with not less than 60% marks in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical or Electronics Engineering. (The Diploma in Engineering should be of three years’ duration after SSC / HSC.) OR
  • Two years Diploma through lateral entry to 2nd year after HSC approved by AICTE with not less than 60% marks in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Chemical or Electronics Engineering.
  • Should have had English as one of the subjects either at SSC or HSC level examination.

Stipendiary Trainees / Scientific Assistant (ST/SA) (Category-I) – Graduate:

  • B.Sc. with a minimum of 60% marks. B.Sc. shall be with Physics as principal and Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Electronics & Computer Science as subsidiary OR with Chemistry as principal and Physics / Mathematics / Statistics / Electronics & Computer Science as subsidiary OR with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects with equal weightage.
  • Mathematics at H.S.C. (10+2) level is essential.
  • Shall have English as one of the subjects either at SSC or HSC level examinations.

Stipendiary Trainees / Technician(ST/TN) (Category-II) – Plant Operator:

  • HSC (10+2) or ISC in Science stream (with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Subjects) with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
  • Shall have English as one of the subjects at least at SSC level examination.

Stipendiary Trainees / Technician(ST/TN) (Category-II)- Maintainer:

  • SSC with minimum 50% marks in Science Subject(s) and Mathematics individually and 2 years ITI certificate course in Fitter / Electrician / Electronics / Instrumentation / Welder / Machinist / AC Mechanic / Turner trades.
  • For trades for which the duration of the ITI course is less than 2 years, the candidates should have at least one-year relevant working experience after completion of the course
  • Shall have English as one of the subjects at least at SSC level examination.

Nurse-A:

  • XII Standard and Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery (3 years course) + Valid Registration as Nurse from Central/State Nursing Council in India. OR
  • B.Sc. (Nursing) OR
  • With 3 years’ experience in Hospital OR Nursing Assistant Class III & above from Armed Forces.

Pharmacist/B:

  • HSC (10+2) + 2 years’ diploma in Pharmacy + 3 months training in Pharmacy + registration as a Pharmacist with Central or State Pharmacy Council.
  • The date of registration as Pharmacist with Central or State Pharmacy Council should be on or before the closing date of online submission of application.

Steno Grade-1:

  • Any Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized University / Institution.
  • A speed of 80 words per minute in English Stenography.
  • A speed of 40 words per minute in English typing on PC.
  • Preference will be given to those candidates who possess knowledge of Hindi typing / Hindi Stenography

NPCIL Syllabus 2022 for Assistant & Steno

Stage-1 Preliminary Test:

  • It will be a screening examination to shortlist candidates.
  • 03 (three) marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • The questions will be of graduation level and the examination will consist of 50 Multiple Choice Questions (choice of four answers) of 01 (one) hour duration for a maximum of 150 marks in the following proportion:
  1. General Knowledge & Current Affairs – 25 Questions
  2. Computer Knowledge – 15 Questions
  3. English – 10 Questions

Stage-2 Advanced Test:

  • All the candidates screened in Stage-1 shall undertake an advanced test and the Test will be of 02 (two hours) duration for a Maximum of 150 marks.
  • 03 (three) marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • The syllabus for question paper for Stage 2 test will comprise 50 Multiple Choice Questions (choice of four answers) from the following syllabus:
  1. Quantitative Aptitude – 25 Questions
  2. Critical Reasoning – 25 Questions

Stage-3 Skill Test:

  • Based upon the merit list prepared after Stage-2, candidates will be shortlisted for Skill Test.
  • The Skill Test will be of qualifying nature only on GO/NO GO basis.

Nurse, Pharmacist & ST/TN (Cat-II)

Stage-1 Preliminary Test:

  • It will be a screening examination to shortlist candidates.

  • The examination will comprise 50 Multiple Choice Questions (Choice of four answers) of 01 (one) hour duration in the following proportion:
  1. Mathematics – 20 Questions
  2. Science – 20 Questions
  3. General Awareness – 10 Questions

Stage-2 Advanced Test:

  • All the candidates screened in Stage-1 to undertake an advanced test.
  • The syllabus for question paper for Stage 2 test will be based on the qualification.
  • The test will be of 02 (two) hours duration.
  • The level of questions for Plant Operator Trainees (Category-II) will be based on the syllabus in HSC or ISC and that for other Category-II (Maintainer) Trainees, the same will be in their respective ITI trade.
  • The test will comprise 50 Multiple choice questions (choice of four answers) with 03 (three) marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Stage-3 Skill Test (not applicable for ST/TN – Plant Operator):

  • The candidates will be shortlisted in each trade for skill test in the ratio of 1 post: 5 candidates (wherever the number of candidates is more than 5) in the order of merit prepared after Stage-2.
  • The Skill Test will be of qualifying nature only on GO/NO GO basis.

Scientific Assistant/C, Scientific Assistant/B and ST/SA (Category-I):

Written Examination:

  • 03 (three) marks to be awarded for each correct answer and 01 (one) mark to be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • Examination will comprise 120 multiple choice questions (choice of four answers) of 02 (two) hour duration in the following proportion:
  1. English: 20 Questions
  2. General Awareness: 20 Questions
  3. Quantitative Aptitude: 20 Questions
  4. Respective Discipline: 60 Question

Personal Interview:

  • The candidates will be shortlisted in each discipline for personal interview in the ratio of 1 post: 5 candidates (wherever the number of candidates are more than 5) in the order of merit prepared after written examination.
  • The Personal Interview will be of 100 marks.
