- Gulma Samadeshak (Company Commander): Candidates must have passed Graduation or equivalent examination from a recognized university by 01/08/2025.
- Height: UR / BC male candidates – 165 cm, EBC / SC / ST male candidates – 160 cm, all female candidates – 155 cm.
- Chest for Male Candidates: UR / BC / EBC male candidates – 81 cm without expansion and 86 cm with expansion. SC / ST male candidates – 79 cm without expansion and 84 cm with expansion. Minimum 5 cm expansion is compulsory.
- Weight for Female Candidates: Minimum 48 kg.
- Third Gender Candidates: Physical standard and physical efficiency test standards will be as per Backward Class candidates.

BPSSC Home Guard Company Commander Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
- Stage 1 – Preliminary Written Examination: 100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours, General Knowledge and Current Affairs. Candidates scoring less than 30% marks will not qualify for Main Examination.
- Stage 2 – Main Written Examination: Paper 1 General Hindi, 100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours, qualifying 30% marks. Paper 2 General Studies, General Science, Civics, Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics and Mental Ability Test, 100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours.
- Stage 3 – Physical Efficiency Test: Race, High Jump, Long Jump and Shot Put. This test will be qualifying in nature.
- Stage 4 – Medical Examination, Character Verification and Antecedent Verification.
- Negative Marking: 0.2 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in written examinations.
- Final Merit List: Final merit will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the Main Written Examination.
