IIM CAT Admission 2023 Qualification

• The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD).
• Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply

CAT 2023 Score

• Candidate’s CAT 2023 scorecards will be made accessible on the CAT website.
• Candidates may also be intimated individually by SMS.
• The CAT results are likely to be declared by the second week of January, 2024.
• The CAT 2023 score is valid only till December 31, 2024 and will accordingly be accessible on the website.
• Thereafter, no queries related to the issuance of CAT 2023 scorecards will be entertained.

Test Centres

• CAT will be conducted in centres spread across around 155 test cities.
• Test cities will be mentioned in the CAT website and the name of the test centre will be indicated in the Admit Card.
• IIMs reserve the right to add/remove, change or cancel any test centre / city and/or change the test time and date at their discretion.

Admission Process

• Please note that each IIM is independent to mandate their own eligibility criteria (including academic cut offs and relative weights) and follow different selection processes.
• Performance in the CAT 2023 examination is an important component for consideration in the selection process.
• IIMs may also use the previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience and other similar inputs in short-listing of candidates at various stages of the selection process.

CAT 2023 Results and Shortlisting

• Information related to the CAT 2023 results will be tentatively available starting from the second week of January 2024 on this website.
• The list of candidates shortlisted for the next level of selection will be made available on the website of the respective IIMs.
• Each IIM will send interview letters to the shortlisted candidates directly.
• The criteria for shortlisting vary across IIMs.

Normalization of CAT Scores in 2023

• CAT 2023 shall be conducted in three sessions. Three different Test Forms shall be administered in three Test Sessions.
• In order to ensure fairness and equity in comparison of performances of candidates across different test sessions, the scores of candidates shall be subjected to a process of Normalisation.
• The Normalisation process shall adjust for location and scale differences of score distributions across different forms.
• After normalisation across different forms, the scores shall be further normalised across different sections.
• The Scaled Scores obtained by this process shall be converted into percentiles for purposes of shortlisting.
• For reporting purposes, Scaled Scores for each section (Section I: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Section II: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Section III: Quantitative Ability (QA)) and Total along with the Percentiles shall be published.

How to Fill IIM CAT Admission Form 2023?

• The application for online registration will be hosted on the IBPS website from 02 Aug 2023.
• Applications will be received online only.
• Upon registration, applicants will be provided with an online Registration Number, which should be carefully preserved for future reference.
• E-mail ID of the applicant is to be given in the application compulsorily.
• The last date for submitting online application is 13 Sept. 2023.
