IIT Kanpur Recruitment 2026 Salary
- Group A Posts (Level 10 & above): Rs. 56,100–1,77,500 to Rs. 1,23,100–2,15,900 as per 7th CPC Pay Level.
- Group B Posts (Level 6): Rs. 35,400–1,12,400
- Group C Posts (Level 3): Rs. 21,700–69,100
In addition to the basic pay, other benefits such as Transport Allowance, Dearness Allowance, HRA, NPS Employer’s contribution, Medical, LTC, and Children’s Education Allowance are also admissible as per GOI rules applicable to IIT Kanpur from time to time.
IIT Kanpur Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
- Group A Posts (Level 10 & 11, except Medical Officer): Written Test and/or Seminar/ Presentation before an expert panel, followed by a personal interview for short-listed applicants.
- Medical Officer (Sl. No. 8): Interview only.
- Group B & C Posts (Sl. No. 9–12): Written Test + Skill Test / Job-Oriented Practical Test and any other mode of selection as per rules.
In case of a tie among applicants, the age of the applicant will be taken to determine eligibility. The medium for all assessments will be English language only.
