PGIMER Chandigarh Vacancy 2026 Selection Process
- Stage 1 – Computer Based Test (CBT): Group A posts consist of 85 MCQs in 85 minutes (85 marks); Group B & C posts consist of 100 MCQs in 100 minutes (100 marks). Each question carries 1 mark with negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks are 40% for General/EWS and 35% for SC/ST/OBC.
- Stage 2 – Interview (For Group A Posts Only): Only Group A posts (Medical Officer) have a 15-mark interview after the CBT. Group B & C posts have no interview; selection is based on CBT merit only.
- Stage 3 – Document Verification: Shortlisting for document verification is done at 3 times the number of advertised posts (plus ties) where no skill test is prescribed, or 5 times the number of posts (plus ties) where a skill test is prescribed.
- Examination Cities (Tentative): Amritsar, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chandigarh/Mohali, Dehradun, Delhi/NCR, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Lucknow, Patna, and Shimla.
