Indian Air Force Airmen Medical Assistant Recruitment 2026 : The Indian Air Force (IAF) has invited online applications from male Indian citizens and Gorkhas who are subjects of Nepal for the selection test to join the IAF as Airmen in Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical), Medical Assistant Trade under Airmen Intake 02/2027. Eligible candidates from all States and Union Territories may submit the online application from 06 July 2026 to 26 July 2026.
The selection test is scheduled for 22-23 September 2026. Applications will be accepted only through the official CASB recruitment portal. This selection test is for Airmen in the Medical Assistant Trade and is not for selection as Commissioned Officers, Pilots, Navigators or Agniveervayu.

Indian Air Force Airmen Medical Assistant Recruitment 2026 Qualification
- Qualification: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English (50% aggregate & 50% in English), OR 2-Year Vocational Course with PCB & English, OR Diploma/B.Pharma/B.Sc Pharmacy (50%) with valid Pharmacy Council registration.
- Eligible Candidates: Only Male Indian Citizens and Gorkhas (Subjects of Nepal).
- Height: Minimum 152 cm.
- Chest: Minimum 77 cm with 5 cm expansion.
- Weight: As per IAF standards.
- Vision: 6/36 correctable to 6/6, Colour Vision CP-II; LASIK/PRK not allowed.
- Hearing & Dental: Normal hearing and healthy dental standards required.
- Medical Fitness: Must be physically and mentally fit as per IAF medical standards.
- Tattoos: Only permitted as per IAF rules; offensive tattoos are prohibited.

- Stipend During Training: ₹14,600/- per month.
- Salary After Training: Starting gross salary ₹26,900/- per month + DA and applicable allowances.
- Allowances & Benefits: HRA, Transport Allowance, Medical, Ration, CSD, Accommodation, Children’s Education Allowance, LTC, Annual & Casual Leave.
- Insurance: Group Insurance Cover of ₹62.5 lakh.
- Service Tenure: Initial 20 years, extendable up to 57 years (as per rules).
