The overall category-wise distribution is UR 759, OBC 498, SC 278, ST 135 and EWS 183. Horizontal reservation is included within the notified slots to the extent of 4% for PwBD candidates and 3% for Ex-Servicemen.

  • Stage 1 – Merit List: Merit will be prepared by taking the average percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation and ITI, with equal weightage to both examinations.
  • Stage 2 – Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for document and certificate verification up to 1.5 times the notified vacancies.
  • Stage 3 – Document Verification: Original educational, technical, category and other applicable certificates will be verified.
  • Stage 4 – Medical Fitness: Final engagement is subject to submission and verification of the prescribed Medical Fitness Certificate signed by an authorized Government doctor not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon.
  • Tie-Breaking Rule: If two candidates have equal marks, the older candidate will be preferred. If their dates of birth are also the same, the candidate who passed Matriculation earlier will be considered first.
  • Written Test / Viva: No written examination or viva will be conducted.
  • Visit the official RRC North Central Railway recruitment portal and read the notification carefully.
  • Click the New Registration option and complete the registration process using a valid personal email ID and active mobile number.
  • Fill in personal details, 12-digit Aadhaar number, PAN details, educational marks / CGPA, trade and Division / Workshop preferences carefully. Candidates who have enrolled for Aadhaar but have not received the card may enter the 28-digit Aadhaar enrolment ID.
  • Upload self-attested scanned copies of the 10th mark sheet, date-of-birth proof, consolidated ITI mark sheet, NCVT / SCVT National Trade Certificate and applicable caste, EWS, PwBD or Ex-Servicemen certificates. OBC candidates must use the prescribed Central Government non-creamy-layer certificate valid for 2026-27, issued on or after 01/04/2026, along with the required self-declaration.
  • Upload a recent colour photograph in JPG / JPEG format, 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm, 100 DPI and 20 KB to 70 KB file size.
  • Upload the signature in running handwriting in JPG / JPEG format, 3.5 cm x 3.5 cm, 100 DPI and 20 KB to 30 KB file size. Signatures in block or capital letters are not permitted.
  • Certificates must be uploaded in PDF format with a file size between 50 KB and 200 KB.
  • Pay the application fee online, if applicable, and verify all entered details before final submission because editing may not be permitted after payment.
  • Submit the application form before 07/08/2026 at 23:59 hrs and download or print the final submitted application.
  • Do not send the application form or certificate copies to RRC NCR by post. Original documents and two self-attested photocopies must be produced during document verification. Certificates issued in a language other than English or Hindi must be accompanied by an attested English or Hindi translation.
