- Police Sub-inspector (General Closed Cadre): Pay Level-6.
BPSSC Bihar Police SI General Closed Cadre Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
- Stage 1 – Preliminary Examination: 100 MCQs, 200 marks, 2 hours and 2 marks per correct answer. Subjects: English, General Knowledge, Hindi, Reasoning and Current Affairs. Minimum 30%; up to ten times the category-wise vacancies may be shortlisted.
- Stage 2 – Main Examination: Paper I: 200 MCQs, 200 marks, 3 hours and 0.25 negative marking; GS/Current Affairs 50, Maths 40, Reasoning 40, English 20, Hindi 20 and Bihar GK 30. Paper II: descriptive, 50 marks, 1 hour; Hindi Essay 15, English Essay 15, English Precis 10 and Hindi-to-English Translation 10. Minimum 30% in each paper; up to three times the vacancies may reach the physical stage.
- Stage 3 – Physical Test and Final Selection: Height, chest and weight checks are qualifying. Final merit is based on Main Examination marks; appointment is subject to medical, character and antecedent verification.
