RITES Assistant Manager Recruitment 2026 Qualification
- Assistant Manager (Mechanical): Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Technology in Mechanical, Production, Production and Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical/Railways, Mechatronics and Automobile, or any combination of these disciplines in part or whole.
- Marks Requirement for UR/EWS: First-class degree or a minimum of 60% marks. This requirement also applies to SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD candidates applying against unreserved vacancies.
- Marks Requirement for Reserved Posts: SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD candidates, as applicable, must possess at least 50% marks for consideration against reserved vacancies.
- Recognition Requirement: The degree must be recognized by AICTE and awarded by a University established under an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, another legally established educational institution, or a Deemed University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. Sections A and B examinations of the Institution of Engineers (India), recognized as equivalent to a degree by the Government of India and AICTE, are also acceptable.
- Experience Requirement: Minimum 2 years of post-qualification outdoor work experience in production, mechanical maintenance or another mechanical engineering area. The candidate must have worked at a project site, factory or plant during this period.
- Experience Not Counted: Training, internship, teaching, academic work, fellowship and Ph.D. research experience will not be counted.
- Apprenticeship Experience: Apprenticeship training completed under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in the relevant discipline will be considered towards the required post-qualification experience.
- Percentage Conversion: If the marksheet does not mention percentage, class or division, the candidate must provide the conversion formula issued by the concerned University or Institution.
- CGPA Conversion: Where no conversion formula exists, an authorized undertaking must be submitted. In such cases, a CGPA of 6 on a 10-point scale will be treated as 60%.

RITES Assistant Manager Recruitment 2026 Salary
- Assistant Manager (Mechanical): Pay Scale of Rs. 40,000–1,40,000.
- Pay for newly appointed candidates will ordinarily be fixed at the minimum of the pay scale.
- In addition to Basic Pay, selected candidates may receive Dearness Allowance, fixed or variable allowances, Performance Related Pay, medical facilities, HRA or lease accommodation and applicable superannuation benefits.
- The superannuation package includes employer contribution to Provident Fund, Gratuity under the applicable Act and Post-Retirement Medical Scheme.
- Other applicable benefits include leave, maternity or paternity leave, group insurance and leave encashment.

Written Test Details
- The examination will contain 125 objective-type questions.
- Each question will carry one mark.
- Total examination duration will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
- There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.
