  • Matriculation / Class 10: Candidates must have passed Class 10 examination or equivalent (10+2 system) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate from a recognised Board.

Note: Each unit’s slots are further broken down by trade and by category (UR/OBC/SC/ST/EWS), with separate reserved slots for PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disability) and Ex-servicemen. Candidates must check the official notification for the exact trade-wise and category-wise slot count for their chosen unit and trade before applying.

Stipend: Training period and stipend will be as per the extant rules and directives issued by the Railway Board from time to time. A specific stipend amount is not stated in this notification. No hostel accommodation will be provided – selected candidates must make their own arrangements during training.

  • Stage 1 – Merit List Formation: Merit list prepared as the simple average of the percentage of marks in Matriculation (minimum 50% aggregate) and the percentage of marks in ITI, in the trade in which apprenticeship is sought.
  • Stage 2 – Merit List Ranking: Final merit list is prepared division/unit-wise, trade-wise, and community-wise, equal to the number of slots, in descending order of the percentage of marks obtained. In case of tied marks, the older candidate is preferred; if date of birth is also the same, the candidate who passed the Matriculation exam earlier is considered first.
  • Stage 3 – Document Verification and Medical Fitness: Selected candidates are subject to verification of original testimonials and production of a medical certificate signed by a Government-authorised Gazetted Doctor not below the rank of Assistant Surgeon of a Central/State Hospital.
  • Visit the official recruitment portal of RRC NWR Apprentice at www.rrcjaipur.in and read the notification carefully.
  • Log on to the RRC/Jaipur website and carefully fill in personal details/bio-data, including a valid 12-digit Aadhaar Card number.
  • Select one unit only from the 8 listed divisions/units. Candidates must ensure a training slot exists for their specific ITI trade in that unit before selecting it, since changes are not allowed after final submission.
  • Upload a recent colour photograph (3.5 cm × 3.5 cm, not older than 3 months, JPG/JPEG format, 100 DPI, file size 20 KB–70 KB) with a clear front view, without cap or sunglasses.
  • Upload a scanned signature (3.5 cm × 2.5 cm, JPG/JPEG format, 100 DPI, file size 20 KB–30 KB).
  • Verify all application details are correct, then pay the applicable fee through the integrated payment gateway using debit card, credit card, Internet Banking, or similar modes. No changes are allowed after fee payment.
  • Download and keep a printout of the application after successful submission. This will be required at the time of Document Verification, if shortlisted.
  • Candidates may apply for only one unit; submitting more than one application with different particulars (name, father’s name, community, photo, qualification, email, or mobile number) will result in summary rejection of all such applications.
  • The decision of the Railway administration on all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, and mode of selection is final.
  • Imparting training on the Railway does not confer any right to absorption/employment on the Railway after successful completion of training; per the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, it is not obligatory for the employer to offer employment, nor for the apprentice to accept it, upon completion of training.
  • No correspondence regarding engagement will be entertained.
  • Canvassing in any form will disqualify the candidature, and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
  • Candidates should ensure they fulfil all eligibility criteria before applying; if erroneously engaged, such candidates will be summarily dismissed without notice at any stage.
