UPSC Recruitment 2026 Qualification
- Agricultural Engineer: Degree in Agricultural Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university, with 2 years of experience in testing/evaluation of agricultural machinery or 2 years of teaching/training experience in operation and maintenance of tractors and agricultural implements.
- Medical Officer/Research Officer (Unani): Degree in Unani Medicine from a recognized university or board recognized under the Indian Medicine Central Council Act, 1970, with enrolment on the Central or State Register of Indian Medicine.
- Scientist ‘B’ (Botany): Master’s Degree in Botany from a recognized university with 3 years of research experience after acquiring the essential qualification. PhD and relevant laboratory experience are desirable.
- Scientist ‘B’ (Environmental Science): Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from a recognized university with 3 years of research experience after acquiring the essential qualification. PhD and relevant laboratory experience are desirable.
- Scientist ‘B’ (Geology): Master’s Degree in Geology from a recognized university with 3 years of research experience after acquiring the essential qualification. PhD and relevant laboratory experience are desirable.
- Scientist ‘B’ (Physics): Master’s Degree in Physics from a recognized university with 3 years of research experience after acquiring the essential qualification. PhD and laboratory experience in conservation or non-destructive testing are desirable.
- Scientist ‘B’ (Zoology): Master’s Degree in Zoology from a recognized university with 3 years of research experience after acquiring the essential qualification. PhD and relevant laboratory experience are desirable.
- Civilian Medical Officer: Recognized MBBS degree with completion of compulsory rotating internship. A postgraduate medical qualification is desirable.
- Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Immuno-Haematology & Blood Transfusion): MBBS with a postgraduate degree or diploma (MD/DNB) in the specified relevant specialty, together with at least 3 years of teaching experience as Senior Resident, Tutor, Registrar or Assistant Professor.
- Specialist Grade III Assistant Professor (Surgical Oncology): MBBS with a postgraduate degree or diploma in Surgical Oncology, or in General Surgery, ENT, Orthopaedics or Obstetrics and Gynaecology with special training in Surgical Oncology, plus at least 3 years of teaching experience.
- Assistant Industrial Adviser: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Metallurgical, or Electronics and Communication Engineering, with 3 years of relevant experience in steel works, rolling mills, plant machinery manufacturing, or iron and steel production, planning, development and research.
- Veterinary Assistant Surgeon: Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry or Veterinary Science, with registration in the Veterinary Council of India or a State/UT Veterinary Council. Knowledge of Tamil, Malayalam or Telugu is an advantage.
