UPSSSC Computer Operator Recruitment 2026 Qualification
Computer Operator Grade-A: Bachelor’s degree from a university established by law in India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the government, along with a Diploma in Computer Science or a Computer Science “O” Level certificate from NIELIT (or an equivalent institution recognized by the government). Three years of experience in the field of computer applications is required.
Assistant Computer Operator: Bachelor’s degree from a university established by law in India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the government, along with a Diploma in Computer Science or a Computer Science “O” Level certificate from NIELIT (or an equivalent institution recognized by the government). Two years of experience in the field of computer applications is required.
Preferential Qualification (Both Posts): Other things being equal, preference in direct recruitment will be given to a candidate who has served in the Territorial Army for at least 2 years, or who holds a National Cadet Corps (NCC) “B” certificate.

UPSSSC Computer Operator Vacancy 2026 Selection Process
- Stage 1 – Shortlisting via PET-2025 Normalized Score: Shortlisting for the written Main Examination is done on the basis of each candidate’s normalized PET-2025 score. Category-wise, 15 times the number of advertised vacancies will be shortlisted for the written examination.
- Stage 2 – Written Examination (Main Examination): Written (Main) examination, conducted under the Uttar Pradesh Advocate General and Law Officer Establishment Service Rules, 2009 (as amended). If the examination is conducted in more than one shift or day, scores will be normalized for comparative evaluation. Details of the written examination scheme, syllabus, and date will be notified separately in due course.
- Eligibility for Examination: Only candidates who appeared in the Preliminary Eligibility Test-2025 (PET-2025) and have been issued a PET-2025 score card by the Commission are eligible to apply for this Main Examination.
How to Apply for UPSSSC Computer Operator Recruitment 2026
- Visit the Commission’s website, upsssc.gov.in, and open the relevant advertisement under the “Live Advertisement Segment” on the homepage.
- Log in using your PET-2025 Registration Number and the OTP sent to your registered mobile number/email (Applicant Authentication).
- Your personal details recorded during PET-2025 – such as name, parent’s name, domicile, category, EWS status, horizontal reservation details, date of birth, gender, marital status and contact information – will be auto-displayed.
- Select the post(s) you wish to apply for. A claim for any post that is not selected will not be considered valid.
- For each selected post, confirm (Yes/No) whether you hold the required educational qualification, and enter details such as board/university name, year of passing, certificate/roll number, and marks.
- Enter the verification code; your photograph and signature uploaded during PET-2025 will be auto-displayed and cannot be changed.
- Fill in other details, including preferential qualification (if any), and review your correspondence/permanent address.
- Read and accept the declaration, enter the verification code, and click Save and Submit to proceed to fee payment.
- Pay the fee online via Credit Card, Debit Card, Internet Banking, UPI, or SBI e-Challan. On successful payment, your application will auto-submit – download and print a copy for your records.
Other Important Instructions
- Only one application is to be submitted for the advertised posts; if a candidate submits more than one, only the last submitted application will be accepted.
- Reserved-category candidates must clearly mark their category in the application. A candidate eligible to claim more than one reserved category will be given the benefit of only one – whichever is more advantageous.
- Candidates who are not originally domiciled in Uttar Pradesh are not entitled to reservation benefits and will be treated as belonging to the Unreserved category.
- Women candidates will be placed in the vertical category corresponding to the caste certificate issued in respect of their father’s side; this caste certificate alone is valid.
- Candidates already serving in Central or State Government service must obtain a “No Objection Certificate” from their employer for participating in the selection process.

- The date, time, and venue of the written examination will be communicated through the admit card; no change of exam centre, date, or time is permitted.
- Providing incorrect information, not possessing the mandatory qualification by the closing date, or furnishing false particulars can lead to rejection of candidature and debarment from this and future examinations/selections conducted by the Commission.
